I’M MADE WITH LOVE, SO PLEASE LOVE ME
How to care for your jewels
Your special piece of jewellery is made of the finest materials and extra care is needed to look after these items to ensure that they can be worn for many years to come.
My jewellery is made from a mixture of 9ct gold, sterling silver, sterling silver gold plate and oxidized sterling silver. The stones used are sourced worldwide and are all semi precious gemstones.
Rings should be removed when washing your hands and all jewellery should be removed for showering as the jewellery should not be exposed to water. Water can get trapped under the stones and cause discoloration and it can also wear down the plating on some items causing it to change colour.
Ensure that you remove your rings before you put on your bracelets (you can put your rings back on after the bracelet is safely on). This will help protect your rings and also the bracelet.
It is beneficial and highly recommended that you rethread your necklaces and bracelets every 2 years or sooner if it is worn daily.
To clean the jewellery use a soft cloth. It is not recommended to use a silver polishing cloth on silver items that have been oxidised or gold plated. This will rub the plating off.
Storing your jewellery carefully on a leather or plastic neck or flat surface will ensure that chains do not tangle and items will not rub together which may cause scratching, tangling and knotts etc.
Fake tan can discolour your jewellery the same way it can discolour clothing.
Products such as hairsprays, perfumes, makeup and moisturizers should all be applied prior to adorning yourself with you special jewels.
Finally and most importantly, your special piece of jewellery needs to be worn. So please wear in good health and enjoy!
xxx Much love
Leisa
